Shaden Jebahi, Parents Matter Project Coordinator, oversees the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the project deliverables and works to enhance membership engagement. All actions are supervised by a steering committee and Coalition chair.
Passionate about community building and specifically working with families from diverse backgrounds, Shaden brings over 9 years of international non-profit development experience. Most recently, she worked in Lebanon creating refugee leaders through life skills training opportunities. Shaden holds a Professional Executive Masters in “Psychosocial Animation in War Torn Societies” and is a United Nations Trainer on combating human trafficking around the world.
As a recent newcomer to Toronto with her family, Shaden understands the stresses that many families face during their migration and is eager to help parents and their children 6 to 12 years old adapt to their new life in Toronto. In 2015, Shaden was awarded a certificate of appreciation by OCASI for supporting the National Syrian Refugees initiative in Canada.
